Campbell turned 3 months on July 7th. He decided that would be the day that he rolled over for the first time. Now he rolls on his tummy every time I place him on his back to play. He loves being on his tummy and his neck is really strong so he lifts his head up to look around. We actually went to Dr Pielop on July 7th to get Austin's bug bite checked out. I thought it was ring worm and wanted to have it looked at in case it was contagious. It wasn't, thank goodness. I snuck Campbell on the scale - he was 12 lbs 4 oz, which is 1 lb 2 oz lighter than Austin was at 3 months. He's a little guy! He seems long and thin to me - and very strong in the legs. He is smiling all the time, especially for Austin. Austin can almost make him laugh. He is such a happy baby and rarely cries. He is sleeping around 9 hours each night (9:30-7am usually) with random naps throughout the day, usually in the car or lamb chair. Sometimes I will put him in his bed for a nap when I really want him to sleep, like when Austin is wanting to go outside to play with his rubber ball. It is hot and sticky and there are mosquitoes so I will put Campbell in his bed to nap so that I can watch him on the monitor. He does well at putting himself to sleep when I try this. He cries out a few times but is able to settle down and sleep. At night I nurse him so this basically puts him to sleep. But I do know that he can soothe himself based on doing this for naps. He is not really on a schedule yet, which is kinda driving me crazy (my type A personality). But he does go with the flow so I guess that works for now. I am thinking I won't push for a schedule until Austin starts back at school and I have more time with Campbell alone. He nurses about 4 or 5 times a day. He has a bottle at the 6/7pm feeding, just to be sure he will take a bottle and kinda to have a routine. David tries to give it to him if he is home, but sometimes he protests. Alot of time I end up giving it to him. We need to work on that- he needs to get used to daddy feeding him too so I can have a little freedom :) He loves sitting in the bumbo. I will move it around to wherever Austin and I are. He just watches us and smiles! He is such a cutie pie. He "talks", especially when he gets on his tummy - it's like he is saying "look at me". Austin is so sweet to him and says "MY brother, MY Campbell". Austin loves to talk about how...."when Campbell gets older he will play golf with me" "when Campbell gets older he will play with the ball in the driveway with me....swim with me, take a bath with me, etc". It is so cute!
