Dos

Yes, we will be welcoming baby #2 into our family in April.  April 12th is the exact due date.  As I write this post, I am 16.5 weeks along.  I am slightly late in posting on the blog but better late than never.  Austin is slowly catching on.  When I tell him "mommy has a baby in her tummy", he promptly lifts up his shirt to look at his belly button and points to it and says "baby".  As I get larger, maybe he will start to understand better.  I also bought 2 books about being a big brother.  We read these nightly and he seems to be listening and absorbing.  When we ask him if he wants a baby brother or sister, he immediately says "seester" but David insists this is because it is easier to say.  We will find out if baby #2 is a boy or a girl at my next appointment on November 21. This pregnancy has been slightly worse, but still not bad at all.  I have had a little more nausea and stronger food aversions than I remember with Austin.  I have not gotten sick or anything like that but at the beginning the heat made me feel really sick (or maybe that is just living in Houston in August/September....so hot and humid).  No but really, the heat exaggerated the nausea.  Glad that is over now...  I feel like my belly is expanding faster with #2, which is what they say happens.  I am just starting to pull out the maternity clothes this week and will be in them full-time before I know it.  Here are a few pictures of Austin in his "big brother" shirt.  He wore this shirt when we announced our news to DiDi and Grandad.  DiDi noticed the shirt right away and couldn't believe it.  Then he wore it again when telling MiMi and Big Deal.  After playing with Austin for 45 minutes while he was wearing the shirt, David finally said "did you see Austin's shirt".  They had not even noticed...haha.

Excited to be a big brother

Still a thumb sucker when Bear is in hand

Now you can see my dinosaur shirt - I am going to be a big brother!

Yes, that's right, me!
And just for the memory books....here is a picture of me and the bump at 16 weeks.  My hand is kinda in the way.  I will get a better one at 20 weeks.
