Campbell at 4 months

Campbell turned 4 months old on August 7th.  We were in Denver so we went to Dr Pielop's on August 12th when we got back.  Austin and Campbell both had appointments - Austin for 3 years and Campbell for 4 months.  Campbell weighed in at 13 lbs 2 oz, which is only in the 7th percentile.  He was 26 inches long, which is 83rd percentile.  He is long and thin.  I looked back at Austin's 4 month stats and he was the same length at 26 inches but weighed 14 lbs 12 oz.  Campbell is a little guy right now.  Everything checked out fine with Dr Pielop - Campbell got shots, Austin didn't but he did get a lollipop.  Campbell is just more interested in what is going on around him (i.e. his big brother) than eating.  He LOVES his big brother - he watches him and gives him huge smiles!  He loves his tummy too - every time I put him on his back to play or in his bed, he almost immediately rolls over.  He sleeps on his tummy too!  He is a happy baby and rarely cries.  He is dying to crawl and working really hard on sitting up.  At around 3.5 months he was doing really well and sleeping 9-10 hours a night straight.  While in Denver and for the past couple of weeks he has been waking up once after about 7-8 hours.  I nurse him and put him back to sleep - I figure he is so little that an extra middle of the night/early morning feeding couldn't hurt my little guy.  He is working on soothing himself to sleep at nap time and getting better at it.  I am working at getting both boys to nap at the same time so mommy can have an hour or so of "alone time".  He is wearing mostly 3-6 month clothes with some 6 month (Polo outfits because they run small).  He is in size 2 diapers (although could probably still wear size 1).  Campbell is learning to giggle, especially when tickled.  He also loves watching TV.  I remember thinking that Austin never even looked at the tv, but Campbell just stares at it.  He even recognizes the "Thomas the Train" theme song when it comes on (and would rather watch this than nurse :(  Time is flying, baby boy!  You are such a joy!

Silly Campbell

Laid him down on floor about 5 feet from here, left for 2 min, and came back and he was trying to get in the tent.  I think he log rolled.  Mobility, here we come!
